Pregnancy relaxation classes are a way for you to dip your toes into hypnobirthing, without having to commit to a full course. They’re a lovely way to spend some time in your pregnancy really relaxing and focusing on you and your baby.

Using hypnobirthing techniques and knowledge we explore different aspects of pregnancy, birth preparation, labour and the ‘fourth trimester’.

I will gently lead you through guided meditations, visualisations, breathing practices and relaxation techniques.

A truly mindful way to experience your pregnancy.

This class is suitable for women at all stages of pregnancy.

How does relaxation make a difference in labour? 

When in a relaxed, calm state, our breathing is even and rhythmical, ensuring an optimum level of oxygen is circulating the body. During labour, this helps to keep the baby stable, stimulates the production of birthing hormones, helps keep blood pressure steady, conserves energy and enables the uterus to work effectively. 

How does hypnosis work?

Hypnosis is a natural state, which we all experience many times a day. It is a time when your conscious mind (analytical/rational) takes a step back and your subconscious mind (feelings/memories/emotions) comes to the forefront, much like in a daydreaming state. Once the critical, analytical part of your mind relaxes, you become more receptive to positive suggestions and affirmations and your body is able to really relax and ‘let go’.
